Recently, I opened two accounts from TD Bank.
They are a cheque account and a saving account for a credit card.
There are a big difference between Korean and Canadian bankcs.
When someone open a bank account, there is no fee in Korea.
However, there are fees in Canada.
In addition there are a few classes in Canadian cheque account and the fee varies according to the classes.
My account is "All-Inclusive Unlimited" account. With this regard, the fee is most expensive and I have to keep at least 5,000 CAD balance to waive the fee.
Fortunately, there is a promotion for "New Comer", who came to Canada within a few years(less than 5 years I think).
So, the fee was waivered for 1 year.
I'll catch a job sooner or later and put my credit in Canada as well.
